Position Overview:The Retail Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth by developing and managing relationships with hydroponic retail shops. This role will focus on executing sales strategies, increasing product presence, and building strong partnerships with key retail accounts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in retail sales, experience in the hydroponics or cannabis industry, and strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve growth targets for the retail hydroponic channel.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hydroponic shops and retail partners to increase product distribution and visibility.
  • Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to closing, ensuring timely and effective follow-up on all opportunities.
  • Identify new retail opportunities and expand Growlink's footprint in the hydroponic market.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create in-store promotions, displays, and other sales materials to drive brand awareness.
  • Conduct regular store visits, training sessions, and demonstrations to educate retail staff on Growlink's products and benefits.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies as needed.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to inform management and refine sales approaches.
  • Manage budgets, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to maximize profitability.
  • Represent Growlink at trade shows, industry events, and other networking opportunities to build brand recognition and generate leads.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in retail sales, ideally in the hydroponics, cannabis, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving growth.
  • Strong understanding of the hydroponics market, retail dynamics, and customer behavior.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to visit retail partners and attend industry events.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
