Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, and the development of internal control policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SaaS financial management and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Work closely with the CFO and senior management team to set financial strategy and monitor key financial metrics.
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making, including pricing, product development, and investment strategies.
  • Lead the financial due diligence process for potential mergers and acquisitions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting/finance, with at least 3 years in a Controller role within a SaaS or technology company.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models, revenue recognition, and subscription billing.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience leading and managing a team.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
